Harmony and Balance - the colour of 2022

In life, we strive for harmony and balance. This applies to our values, family, work and nutrition, as well as architecture and interior design. This is what ZANZIBAR 6, the colour of 2022, from the Harmonious & Balanced palette, refers to.

The idea of sustainability in architecture is an integral part of sustainable construction. Their main objectives are to meet social needs, maintain market competitiveness and have a positive impact on the environment. The ideals of Harmonious & Balanced are also part of the Ceresit colour palette, from which the colour of 2022 was chosen.

The colour of 2022 under the magnifying glass

ZANZIBAR 6 is a versatile, neutral colour that can be used almost anywhere and anytime. It matches any architectural style and can be successfully combined with most other colours in the Ceresit palette. It will serve as a perfect background or complement all building materials intended for façades, such as brick, wood or sheet metal. And this is only the beginning of its advantages!

Stylish combinations

ZANZIBAR 6 is a timeless colour that suits practically all styles. It will match contemporary, modern, minimalist architecture as well as more classic, traditional buildings. It is an excellent choice for both newly designed buildings and for refreshing the façades of old buildings. It also fits in well with arrangements that are close to nature, ecological, such as Scandinavian style. The colour of 2022 is bright and delicate, and therefore matches almost all other colours of the Harmonious & Balanced palette. It can be used as a background for bold, strong and contrasting colours such as ASTURIA 5, or highlighted by deeper, darker or more saturated shades such as COLORADO 6.

On the technical side

The colour of 2022 has good technical properties. The HBW Light Reflectance Value (LRV), which shows what percentage of the sun’s rays are reflected by the rendered surface, is as high as 75% for ZANZIBAR 6.

An equally important indicator is TSR, which indicates the reflection of total solar energy, i.e. the amount of solar radiation (applies to light waves in both the ultraviolet, visible light and infrared ranges). In this case, it is also high at 72%. It is worth remembering that in order to ensure the long-lasting durability of the façade and prevent excessive heating of the surface, it is recommended to use plasters and paints with HBW≥20 and TSR ≥ 20.
